A mix of disco, funk, afrobeat, reggae, electronic and soca music way ahead of everyone in the mid 80’s. Killer!
About this record:
Winston ‘Shadow’ Bailey (born 4 october 1941) is a calypsonian from Trinidad and Tobago. He was born in Belmont, a suburb of Port of Spain in Trinidad, but grew up in Les Coteaux, Tobago, with his grandparents. We were very proud to start working with the living legend. Unfortunatly he was sick and was hospitalized. The reissue scheduled for june 2016 was delayed. In september 2016, he was better with the care from his family and also he received help from his friend Lisa to manage his musical rights.
“Sweet Sweet Dreams” was originally released in 1984 in Trinidad and Tobago. TheVinylFactory call it "The holy grail of Shadow albums". Shadow produced a mix of disco, funk, afrobeat, reggae, electronic and soca music way ahead of everyone in the mid 80’s. It features the monster cosmic disco dancefloor killer tune "Let’s Get It Together", the heavy “Let’s Make It Up” made popular by top a top DJ Hunee at Boiler Room Dekmantel festival in 2015, and the soca gem “Way, Way Out”. Huge thank you to Lisa for her crucial help.
